Sohu IT, 12/05/12
Tong Xiaoping, deputy mayor of Chongqing, met with a group led by Microsoft global VP and president of Microsoft Services Asia Raymond Yates on December 4. Yates said that the group had come to Chongqing to discuss deepening its partnerships with the city, and said that efforts to establish a subsidiary in Chongqing should bear fruit by the start of February 2013, before the Chinese New Year holiday, if all goes well. If Microsoft's investment partnership plans in Chongqing are put into effect, the company will set up a base in Chongqing serving Western China, China as a whole, and the entire Asia region.
Wang Jun, Party secretary and managing committee director of the Chongqing Economic and Technological Development Zone, noted that Microsoft had already partnered with the Chongqing Economic and Technological Development Zone to develop a cloud platform for enterprise services currently hosting 49 Chongqing-based enterprises.
