B5M Introduces E-Commerce Image Search

B5M.com, a Chinese social shopping search platform operated by Shanghai-based iZENEsoft, has launched an image-browsing online shopping channel, "Sejie" (sejie.b5m.com/sejie). Unlike other image sharing websites, Sejie automatically matches shared images with relevant products.
B5M CEO Yin Rujie said that the company aims to integrate social sharing, e-commerce search, and interactive media in a single personalized online shopping search platform, and plans to integrate SNS image sharing and e-commerce search into Sejie.
Sejie already has indexed millions of images from hundreds of websites. Unlike other e-commerce search websites, which match images with products on Chinese B2C e-commerce site Taobao, B5M's product database not only spans Taobao but also web search and sharing to provide users with results for apparel, dining, home furnishings, and entertainment from across the entire web.
Users can click on the "Sejie" link on the B5M.com homepage and use the search box tool "Bang 5 Sou" ("Help Me Search") to casually browse desired images, merchandise, group buy, and ticket deals in a cascading layout. Users can also share results via microblogs and social media, attracting more users to the site.
