Huawei Launches Network Operations Center in Cairo

Chinese telecom equipment and terminal manufacturer Huawei launched its Egypt Network Operations Center (NOC) in Smart Village, Cairo on November 20. The network operations center is dedicated to the operation and management of telecommunication networks, and the provision of professional services to operators in the Northern African region.

The main function of the Egypt NOC is to provide network operations services such as front-office operation (e.g. help desk, fault handling, network surveillance), back office operations (e.g. corrective and preventive maintenance, change management, capacity management, vendor support management), work force management, operation support management (e.g. SLA management, security management, IT platform management) and network performance management. The NOC is equipped with latest tools and OSS systems to support various technologies including 2G, 3G and future 4G LTE wireless networks.
