SAP May List on Shanghai Exchange

BiaNews, 11/26/12

According to a spokesperson for SAP, the German software company is currently considering a listing on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in order raise funds in mainland China. The company is already listed in New York and Germany. The Shanghai Stock Exchange is now in talks with the Chinese government to establish an international listings board.

SAP had hoped to complete its listing in the first half of 2011, but faced a number of setbacks as a result of the European debt crisis.

SAP sales in China grew 40% YoY in Q3 2012, making China SAP's sixth largest market by sales volume.

SAP has invested in a number of Chinese industries including payment and other solutions. The company's China research projects are led by the SAP China research institute.
