Ku6 Announces Partnership with Warner Brothers

Shanda Interactive's (Nasdaq: SNDA) online video subsidiary Ku6 (Nasdaq: KUTV) has announced that it has signed a content licensing agreement with international film and television studios Warner Brothers and Sony Pictures Entertainment, giving Ku6 the right to broadcast the official versions of the two firms' Western film and television works in China.

Ku6 has also launched a 24-hour interactive live broadcast platform, featuring an entertainment channel and a finance channel. Ku6 users will have access to live content 24 hours a day, and will be able to participate in simultaneous chat and interaction.

Editor's Note: "Live broadcasting" here means that content produced by Ku6 itself will be broadcast near-live, while that which Ku6 licenses from TV stations will be broadcast simultaneously with the TV stations' own broadcasts of the programming.
