China Unicom: 3G Users Prefer Voice Plan
Sina Tech, 7/02/10
China Unicom (NYSE: CHU; 0762.HK; 600050.SH) VP Li Gang said in a recent interview that since the operator's introduction of separate "A" and "B" 3G calling plans on May 17, Unicom has seen fast growth in user uptake; according to Unicom's statistics, over 70% of users choose the voice-oriented B plans, while less than 30% choose the data-heavy A packages.
When discussing Unicom's current plan rates, Li said he felt that the packages are already comparatively inexpensive, and that there would be not much room for additional price cuts in the near future.
