Sina Launches New Online Ad Platform

Chinese Internet portal Sina (Nasdaq: SINA) launched its new self-developed "Zhitou" (Smart Placement) ad transaction system today. Targeted at SMEs, Zhitou allows ad buyers to choose high-exposure Sina pages to display their ads based on ad performance. Shu Chang, GM of Sina's Intermediary Strategy Center, said "Zhitou" covers all of Sina's major channel homepages and content pages; payment for the service can be handled by cost-per-click (CPC) and fixed monthly prices.
