TD-SCDMA to Begin Pre-commercial User Trials in March

Tencent Tech, 3/03/08

According to a telecom industry expert, once TD-SCDMA technical tests in the eight Olympic host cities have concluded, user trials of TD-SCDMA networks will start in March with commercial trials to follow in April. These trials will be used to optimize networks and handset functionality in time for the Olympics. Users participating in the March tests are expected to be either telecom experts or M-Zone users - representing heavy data users in both high-end and low-end user groups.
