China's MIIT Releases December 2018 Telecom Statistics

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has released its December 2018 national telecom industry statistics.
National totals as of the end of December were as follows:

As of the end of 2018, China’s total number of 4G mobile service subscribers reached over 1.165 bln, comprising 74.42% of the country’s total mobile service subscribers, while the total 3G subscriber base fell to just above 140 mln, or 8.95% of the total mobile subscriber base.
In calculating the fixed-line telephone and mobile subscriber penetration rates in the table above, the MIIT used China's 2017 year-end population size (rather than the 2018 year-end population figure, which, presumably, was not yet available).
