Cainiao Invests in Logistics SaaS Provider Yiliu

Cainiao Network Technology, the smart logistics company established by Chinese e-commerce conglomerate Alibaba Group (NYSE: BABA), recently announced a strategic investment in Shenzhen-based Yiliu Technology (835955.NEEQ), operator of supply chain logistics SaaS platform e-TMS and mobile transportation process management app Yiliuyun.
Following the investment, Cainiao and Yiliu will use their capabilities in the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence and big data domains to provide services for several million Chinese freight vehicles to offer smart route optimization, smart shipment matching, and safe driver scheduling services for cargo shippers and vehicle operators.
Yiliu is a smart Internet of Things company specializing in the logistics industry and has significant experience providing digitization and smart upgrade services for freight vehicle and shipment applications, including end-to-end logistics transparency SaaS solutions. Currently, Yiliu connects more than 1.4 mln freight vehicles and 1.5 mln drivers and covers over 10 niche domains including services for cargo owners, fresh foods and refrigerated logistics, e-commerce shipping, and large supermarkets. Its operations cover all of China as well as neighboring countries in Asia and some European countries and regions.
