Suning Logistics Launches Instant Delivery Solution

Chinese consumer electronics and home appliance retailer Suning.com's (002024.SZ) logistics service, Suning Logistics, has launched an on-demand delivery solution called "Suning Miaoda" (roughly "Arrive in Seconds").
Suning Miaoda primarily targets 30-minute or less deliveries within a 3km community life radius as well as prescheduled precise delivery times. Offline stores participating in the logistics solution include the company's O2O brands Suning Xiaodian and Suxiansheng, as well as subsidiary maternity e-commerce site Redbaby. The service will expand to brand stores outside of Suning's umbrella in the future.
Suning Logistics also announced a "Hundred River Plan," which aims to accelerate construction of backbone warehouse and community storage depot networks.
Suning Logistics will have built more than 1,000 dedicated logistics centers for its backbone network by 2020 with a target of newly adding 10 mln square meters of storage space. Suning Logistics' warehousing network will gradually expand from first- and second-tier cities to third- and fourth-tier cities and develop along the lines of automation and unmanned fulfillment.
In terms of community storage, Suning Logistcs aims to cover more than 100 cities across China with front line warehouses and retail shop storage by 2020.
