OCT Group to Invest RMB 2 Bln in Tongcheng Travel

Chinese tourism company OCT Group and online travel service provider Tongcheng Travel (LY.com) jointly announced that OCT Group will make a strategic investment of RMB 2 bln in Tongcheng Travel as part of a strategic partnership between the two firms.
The companies stated they believe the partnership will unlock synergies for both sides by leveraging their joint offline resources and online big data, and added that they plan to fully collaborate in several other tourism-related areas including industry ecosystem development, informatization of tourism, integration of destination resources, and consumer spending upgrades.
