Tencent Launches Real-time Online Document-editing Service

Chinese internet conglomerate Tencent (0700.HK) recently officially announced its entry into the realm of office software with the launch of a collaborative online document product called Tencent Documents.
Tencent Documents supports document creation anytime, anywhere and provides a multi-user collaborative online document editing tool. It also provides smart features such as "one-click" translation, real-time stock quotes, viewing privileges, and security management.
Users can also view and edit online documents via an official applet on Tencent's (0700.HK) WeChat mobile messaging app, and Tencent Documents can also be accessed via other portals such as Tencent instant-messaging services QQ and TIM, as well as an official website and mobile app.
Users can access Tencent Documents on devices such as PC, Mac, iOS, Android, and iPad. The product supports multiple users viewing and editing in real-time, as well as looking up a document's edit history. Tencent Documents currently supports Word and Excel formats, and in the future will add other formats such as PPT. Local Word and Excel documents can also be converted into an online document.
