Qihoo 360 to Launch Blockchain-based Sharing Routers
DoNews, 1/09/18
Chinese internet services and security software provider Qihoo 360 recently announced a new "shared cloud platform" project based on blockchain technology.
Qihoo 360 also announced new 360 shared cloud router and 360 shared cloud app products. The shared cloud routers will participate in its shared cloud platform project, while the shared cloud app will be able to monitor work status and view revenues from cloud-based mining activity.
Qihoo 360 described three aspects of the 360 shared cloud project. First, 360 shared cloud products will share idle bandwidth, computing, and storage resources. Second, the project will establish a 360 cloud mining incentives system, which will offer rewards to users based on the amount of bandwidth and storage they contribute. Third, the project will use decentralized computing low-level systems based on blockchain technology to ensure data authenticity, reliability, security, stability, and immutability. A number of developers have reportedly already received invitations from Qihoo 360 to join the project.
