Physicians' SNS App Medlinker Secures RMB 400 Mln Series C

Chengdu-based Yiyun Technology, operator of mobile social networking app for doctors Medlinker, recently announced completion of RMB 400 mln in Series C funding from Beijing-based data services firm China Electronics Data Service's CEC Healthcare Fund, with participation by China Renaissance's New Economy Fund and prior-round investors including internet conglomerate Tencent (0700.HK) and Sequoia Capital.
CEC Healthcare Fund and Medlinker will share medical treatment data resources and will collaborate on clinical research organization (CRO) data analysis in the insurance and drug development domains as well as medical data disease treatment applications. They will also work together to pilot test province-level online health maintenance organization (HMO) programs, including development of new types of commercial insurance and family physician policies.
According to data from Medlinker, the platform currently has more than 430,000 certified physician users registered under their real names.
