Sinnet to Buy Amazon's AWS China Cloud Equipment

Beijing-based Sinnet Technology (300383.SZ), an Internet service, Internet data center services and value-added services provider, has announced a plan to purchase specific operational assets (including, but not limited to IT equipment such as servers) from Beijing-based AWS (China) service platform operator Amazon Connect Technology Services for no more than RMB 2.0 bln. Sinnet will use the assets to operate Amazon cloud services within China.
Sinnet plans to pay by installment from funds self-raised, borrowed from a bank, or funded through other means.
Sinnet and Amazon signed an operation agreement in July 2016, in which Amazon authorized Sinnet to operate Amazon cloud services in the Beijing region.
The transaction's goal is to fully comply with China's laws and regulations, while improving the security and service quality of Sinnet's operation of Amazon Web Services.
