iQiyi to Develop Seven Animation and Film Adaptations

Chinese internet firm Baidu's (Nasdaq: BIDU) online video subsidiary iQiyi recently announced a new development strategy for animated content, and said that Lin Yanyuan has been appointed spokesperson for iQiyi's self-produced animation business.
iQiyi announced plans to develop seven IP projects, including four animated adaptations of classic novels and two film adaptations based on self-produced animation IP. These projects will be released online between 2017 and 2019.
