Overseas Experience-sharing App Zhiwai Completes New Funding

Shenzhen-based Dreamy Life Technology, operator of overseas experience-sharing app Zhiwai, has completed a new round of funding from Lin Ning, CEO of online movie ticketing platform Weiying Times, in addition to the founding team behind mobile knowledge-sharing live streaming platform Qianliao. The funds will primarily be used to assemble a new content team.
Zhiwai is a platform for people who have gone abroad and want to share their experiences. The app uses knowledge sharing and smart tools to help guide people who want to go abroad through the initial decision-making process. Users can listen to close to 100 recordings describing the experiences of various experts who have gone abroad. Zhiwai invites experts from both China and overseas to participate in the platform, and, after listening, users can make an appointment to ask the experts questions.
Zhiwai founder Zhan Changlong said that after this round of funding, the platform will continue to expand content related to countries that are attractive to people who wish to immigrate. Content will include immigration policy, overseas real estate, and strategies and stories from other Chinese citizens to help new immigrants through the relocation process.
Dreamy Life, established in November 2016, previously completed RMB 7-digit angel funding from real estate e-commerce website Meiaoju.com in January this year.
Zhiwai has close to 200,000 users, with a core of 20,000 preparing to immigrate.
