Yidao Launches 'Certified Car' Feature for Drivers

Beijing-based Dongfang Cheyun Information Technology, operator of mobile and online car rental and car hire platform Yidao Yongche, has added a "Certified Car" feature to its driver-facing mobile app. Yidao Yongche is offering vehicle inspection training to all drivers on its platform and those who pass the training will be tagged as certified.
The certification consists of "3 audits and 3 standards," explained a spokesperson for Yidao Yongche. The audits will strictly verify the driver, the vehicle, and the license, while the standards are requirements for service quality, vehicle configuration, and brand image.
The certified car program has already begun with 300,000 drivers in the first batch. Yidao Yonche expects to certify 1 mln drivers by January 2018.
The program is intended to help certified drivers get more orders and improve their income.
