Chinanews.com, 8/14/17
Chinese B2C e-commerce platform JD.com's (Nasdaq: JD) fee-based scheduled delivery service, Jing Zhunda, recently announced that it is expanding its 30-minute express delivery services to four more cities, including Beijing, Jinan, Qingdao, and Taiyuan. The service was first launched in May as a pilot project in Zhengzhou, Wuhan, and Changsha, and now covers a total of seven cities.
The Jing Zhunda service also offers 2-hour delivery in 246 Chinese cities and 1-hour delivery in more than 30 cities.
Currently, Jing Zhunda is supported as a delivery option for all of JD.com's self-operated products in all categories, except for international imports.
Editor's Note: JD.com's delivery unit JD Logistics launched the "Jing Zhunda" service in 2016 for customers who need delivery to be made within a set window of time, allowing users to pay a fee to specify a time frame for package delivery. Appointments can be as early as 9:00 AM and as late as 10:00 PM.
