Alibaba Affiliate 'Riverhill Fund' Establishes RMB 1 Bln Entertainment Fund

Riverhill Fund (Hupan Shannan Equity Fund), a fund created by Chinese e-commerce conglomerate Alibaba Group's (NYSE: BABA) co-founder Simon Xie, recently said that it will set up its first entertainment industry investment fund with an initial capitalization of RMB 1 bln.

The fund will specialize in film and TV show, variety show, short video, music, game, and cartoon projects in the entertainment industry, and will support companies at each stage in the industry chain.

Riverhill Fund, established in 2014, focuses on wireless Internet, e-commerce, O2O services, and entertainment industry projects.
