58.com Launches Job-seeker Insurance Services
Sina Tech, 8/09/17
The recruitment section of Chinese online classifieds site 58.com (NYSE: WUBA) recently launched a new "Job Seekers' Insurance" business to ensure users' safety during the recruitment process.
According to a representative for the recruitment business division, the insurance program will offer two types of insurance to meet the needs of different consumers. First, for jobs with high risk, it will offer personal injury accident insurance. The insurance service can be purchased by both job applicants and hiring enterprise users, and will include value-added services during the job search/recruitment process.
The other insurance product will be offered to all users for free. All job seekers who have submitted their resume materials through the platform will have the right to file a claim regarding the accuracy of the job listing to which they responded. If the applicant encounters fraudulent information during the application process, such as invalid phone numbers or addresses or non-existent businesses, they can submit a report and provide evidence to receive compensation and possibly a reward.
