WeChat Beta Tests Feature for Applet Access within Groups

Chinese internet and mobile services firm Tencent's (0700.HK) WeChat mobile messaging app is testing a new beta feature which allows users in group chats to easily access applets that have been shared by users in the group.

When a user opens up the group setting page, they will see a link for "group applet," which will display any applets shared by users in the group.

During user testing, only 10 applets can be displayed in a group.

WeChat's group applet feature is currently available only for internal testing on Android version 6.5.13.
