Alibaba's AliHealth App Launches Internet Hospital Service
Yigoonet.com, 5/18/16
Mobile health consultation and appointment booking app AliHealth, operated by Alibaba Group (NYSE: BABA) subsidiary Alibaba Health Information Technology (0241.HK), recently launched an Internet hospital service within its mobile app with services from Wuhan Central Hospital and Beijing United Family Hospital. Wuhan Central Hospital offers services for seven departments through the new channel, including its dentistry and endocrinology departments. Beijing United Family Hospital offers services from 11 specialists in four departments including internal medicine, cardiovascular, general medicine, and neurosurgery. Users can pay online and make an appointment to connect with a doctor through the AliHealth channel at a determined time and engage in video or image-based consultation. After the appointment, users can publish written reviews of the doctor's services and share their experience with other users.
As previously reported, in January this year Alibaba Group's Tmall Drugstore online platform launched an Internet hospital channel with Wuhan Central Hospital as its first partner. Services from Wuhan Central Hospital and Beijing United Family Hospital can now be accessed through both the Tmall Drugstore online platform and the AliHealth mobile app.
