iFeng, 1/11/16
Beijing-based 6Renyou International Travel Service, operator of online and mobile customized small-scale group travel platform 6renyou.com, recently announced it has secured an unspecified sum of Series D funding from Shenzhen Fortune Venture Capital. 6Renyou founder Jia Jianqiang said that funds will be used to shift business from the company's public account on Tencent's (0700.HK) WeChat mobile messaging app to its own app, and for operations and maintenance of the new app. Jia also said that 6Renyou will list this year on China's National Equities Exchange and Quotations (NEEQ) OTC-style agency share transfer system. According to Jia, 6Renyou last year brought in RMB 8-digit revenue through its WeChat public account. The company is currently moving its business to its recently launched independent app in order to improve the user experience.
6Renyou can be accessed through its website, mobile app, or public account on WeChat. It offers users customized small group travel products designed for families and friends, as well as package tour products. 6Renyou International Travel Service, established in May 2013, completed 8-digit Series C funding in November 2015.
