Qihoo 360 Unveils Mobile Dialing Assistant, Ad Exchange Platform

Chinese internet services and security software provider Qihoo 360 (NYSE: QIHU) announced the release of its new "360 Laidiantong" mobile handset dialing assistant and "360 Juxiao" add exchange platform at its first annual 360 Data World conference in Beijing.
The 360 Laidiantong mobile dialing assistant, which serves as an O2O m-commerce platform for merchants and service providers, has been built into Qihoo's 360 Safe Guard mobile handset security software. With the new product, users making and receiving calls to and from numbers not stored in their smartphone address books will see numbers from companies indexed in the 360 Laidiantong database automatically added to their address books. The service will allow customers to recognize numbers from, and make calls to, delivery personnel, customer service hotlines and other numbers from partner 360 Laidiantong enterprises. Several companies have already partnered with the service, including Chinese group buy site Meituan, Pingan Insurance and online travel service provider eLong (Nasdaq: LONG).
Also unveiled was Qihoo's ad exchange platform, MV Ad Platform ("360 Juxiao"). Companies offering ad space on the exchange include Sina (Nasdaq: SINA), Youku Tudou (NYSE: YOKU), Google and Tencent (0700.HK). The aforementioned companies have all committed to provide ad inventory to the platform for a period of at least three years, and Qihoo has promised that all revenue from the platform will be given to the company's advertising partners over its first three years of operation.
