Autohome Launches B2C Car Sales Platform

Online automobile information portal operator Autohome (NYSE: ATHM) has launched a new B2C online car sales platform, "Yiche Shangcheng," hosted on the independent Yichemall.com domain name.

Over 20 automotive brands are represented in Yiche Shangcheng's initial launch, including Volkswagen, Honda, Toyota, and Ford. The platform currently supports nationwide car sales across China, and will soon introduce additional models from different manufacturers.

The Yiche Shangcheng platform utilizes an O2O (online to offline) model, allowing customers to select and order their vehicles online, pay a deposit, and then pick up cars at nearby dealerships after paying the balance of the sales price. Yiche Shangcheng also provides customers with a variety of financing and leasing options.

Yiche Shangcheng will receive a percentage of completed sales proceeds based on individual agreements with manufacturers.
