Baidu Announces Mobile Game Revenue Sharing Policies

Chinese internet company Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) has announced the launch of the company's newly integrated mobile gaming platform, "Baidu Mobile Gaming," at the same time disclosing details of Baidu's revenue-sharing policies for mobile games released on the platform. A 30% commission will be collected on mobile games with monthly revenue of less than RMB 500,000, and a 50% commission will be collected on games with monthly revenue greater than RMB 500,000.
The "Baidu Mobile Gaming" platform will combine payment, game operation, and game promotion services across the company's Baidu Mobile Assistant, 91 Assistant, and HiMarket app stores. Mobile game promotion services available through the platform include Baidu search, Baidu Post Bar, Baidu Video, and a host of Baidu subsidiary properties.
According to Baidu VP Wang Zhan, the company's Baidu Video mobile app has reached a cumulative user base of 200 mln, with over 100 mln daily active users (DAU).
