Alibaba Launches Mobile Open Platform

Chinese e-commerce conglomerate Alibaba Group's AliCloud subsidiary has announced the release of its "Ju Wuxian" mobile cloud developer platform, created in cooperation with digital map provider AutoNavi (Nasdaq: AMAP), voice recognition firm Anhui USTC iFlytek (002230.SZ), and Zhengyi Wireless, operator of mobile app download platform AppCan. Alibaba will provide partner app developers on the platform with one-stop app testing, promotion, distribution, and monetization services, opening the company's cloud computing, big data, payment, distribution and promotional resources to developers. AutoNavi, iFlytek, and AppCan will also offer developer assistance via the new open platform.
AliCloud also plans to launch a "Ju Wuxian Support Program," and plans to invest RMB 100 mln on cloud resources to assist developers from the mobile gaming, O2O, and smart device sectors.
Ju Wuxian will cooperate with Zhejiang Yinxinggu Investment, ZhenFund, Fenghou Capital, and Zhejiang Zheshang Venture Capital Management to provide financial services to developers on the platform.
