DoNews, 1/03/14
Chinese online game developer and operator Changyou (Nasdaq: CYOU) has released the first game developed using its open source Genesis-3D cross-platform engine, mobile 3D running game Jinyong Paoku, now available for Android users on Qihoo 360's (NYSE: QIHU) 360 Mobile Assistant app download platform.
According to a representative at Genesis-3D, the open source engine has developed multiple game frameworks, and the newly released Jinyong Paoku is a demonstrative product for the running game framework, whose source code is publicly available. The iOS version of Jinyong Paoku is expected to be released within a month, after which time developers will jointly participate in development of future versions of the game and be offered material incentives for their work.
Changyou released the Genesis-3D game engine in November 2013.
