China Telecom Launches International Roaming MiFi Service

China Telecom (NYSE: CHA; 0728.HK) has announced the launch of an international travel MiFi product, allowing Chinese travelers in 74 countries and regions to use unlimited mobile data roaming services for RMB 48 to RMB 128 per day.
The product offers a fee structure divided into three regions, with Hong Kong and Macau priced at RMB 48 per day, most countries and regions in Southeast Asia priced at RMB 88 per day, and major countries in Europe, North America, and Africa priced at RMB 128 per day. The product connects to China Telecom's CDMA network in mainland China and Macau, and cooperating operator networks in other countries and regions. Multiple users can simultaneously access the internet through MiFi supported Wi-Fi.
The product will initially be released in 10 provinces and regions including Shanghai, Beijing, and Jiangsu, with ongoing releases to other regions.
