Alipay Transaction Value Reaches RMB 35 Bln on Singles Day

Chinese third-party payment processor Alipay handled more than RMB 35 bln in payments on China's November 11, "Singles Day" e-commerce holiday. Approximately 188 mln individual payments were processed during the 24-hour period, of which more than 45 mln, or approximately 24%, were mobile payments, for a total mobile payment value of RMB 11.3 bln.
Total transaction value related to financial products was approximately RMB 908 mln.
