Online IT industry recruiting website Neitui ("Internal Recommendation") has revealed that the site landed RMB 2.5 mln in angel funding from Chinese technology-focused venture capital firm Innovation Works in October. Neitui was established in April of this year by two programmers from Chinese online media and game operator Shanda Interactive. The service is designed to let IT firms avoid headhunters and directly recruit potential job candidates online.
Neitui has implemented mechanisms to guard against headhunters, such as checking the suffix of registered email addresses, and limiting the number of recruitment messages and resumes sent by users to three per day, in the hopes of moving the internal recommendation processes of IT firms online. At present, 904 companies have registered for the service, including Chinese e-commerce conglomerate Alibaba Group and Chinese internet company Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU). HR personnel and staff from these companies can send recruitment messages through Neitui. If people looking for jobs can not find a suitable position, they can contact Neitui directly to ask for placement.
Neitui founder Huang Xiaoliang revealed that the free service has nearly 20,000 registered users to date, with 20,000 to 25,000 daily page views (PVs) and 4,000 to 5,000 daily unique visits (UVs). 400-500 resumes are sent each day on the site. Neitui's development team is currently comprised of 3 people. The angel funding will be used to expand the Neitui team.
