Alpha Animation to Acquire Two Mobile Gaming Firms

Guangdong-based animation company Alpha Animation and Culture (002292.SZ) announced plans today to acquire a 100% share in Shanghai-based mobile game developer 4inch (51Pocket) Information and Beijing-based mobile game developer Ai Le You Information Technology (5agame) for RMB 692 mln through a combination of cash and stock. Alpha Animation will spend RMB 323 mln and RMB 367 mln for the purchase of 4inch Information and Ai Le You, respectively, with shares issued to be valued at RMB 26.65 per share.
4inch Information's first mobile game, pet-themed MMO Guaiwu X Lianmeng (MxM), has recorded RMB 61.82 mln in revenue after 10 months of operation in mainland China. The company has committed to achieving profits of over RMB 25 mln, RMB 35 mln, RMB 47.25 mln, and RMB 61.42 mln in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016, respectively. 4inch operates in China under the 51Pocket.
Ai Le You products include mobile shooting game series Thunder Fighteri. The company has committed to achieving profits of at least RMB 30.80 mln, RMB 39.05 mln, RMB 49.30 mln, and RMB 62.00 mln in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016, respectively.
