China Unicom, iFeng Partner on Mobile Video Data

Chinese wireless and TV new media company Phoenix New Media's (PNM) (NYSE: FENG) internet portal, iFeng Video, today signed a partnership agreement with China Unicom (NYSE: CHU; 0762.HK; 600050.SH) to release a "WO+iFeng" mobile video data package. According to the agreement, China Unicom users will be able to watch up to 6G of mobile content on iFeng Video per month for a RMB 15 monthly fee.
Users can sign up for the service directly through the iFeng mobile app, allowing them to enjoy VIP services and watch exclusive iFeng Video content. An updated version of the iFeng Video mobile client supporting China Unicom subscriber services will be given exclusive first release on Baidu's (Nasdaq: BIDU) Mobile Assistant app download platform.
In April, Chinese Internet firm Sohu's (Nasdaq: SOHU) video site Sohu Video reached an agreement with China Unicom on a mobile video package plan, also priced at RMB 15 per month.
