Baidu Wins Lawsuit Against Qihoo 360

The Beijing No.1 Intermediate People's Court issued a ruling today in Chinese internet company Baidu's (Nasdaq: BIDU) unfair competition suit against Internet services and security software provider Qihoo 360 (NYSE: QIHU). The court found in favor of Baidu and ordered Qihoo 360 to cease all unfair competition, feature an apology to Baidu on its homepage for a span of 15 days, and pay RMB 450,000 in damages.
Baidu's suit against Qihoo 360 alleged that the company:
1) Unilaterally altered Baidu search results, creating confusion, and;
2) Deliberately imitated the appearance of genuine Baidu search results, hijacking traffic away from Baidu, making infringing use of Baidu's logo, and engaging in unfair competition.
