Tencent Connects Weiyun Cloud Storage with WeChat

Sohu IT, 4/03/13

Chinese internet and mobile services firm Tencent (0700.HK) has connected its "Weiyun" cloud storage and "Weiyun Shou Cang" public storage accounts to its WeChat (Weixin) mobile messaging application. Users can save their friends' posts, photos, and texts to their Weiyun accounts and use WeChat's in-menu features on mobile handsets to view saved content. Users can also log into Weiyun on PCs to view content saved to Weiyun from WeChat.

Tencent released its Weiyun cloud storage service in July 2012. The service currently offers Android, iOS, PC client, and web-based versions.
