Linekong, Finland's Supercell Form Mobile Game JV

Wang Feng, President and CEO of Chinese online game developer and operator Linekong, has announced on his personal microblogging account that Linekong's wholly owned Beijing subsidiary Linekong Entertainment Technology has signed a strategic agreement with Finish mobile game company Supercell. The two companies plan to jointly contribute a total of USD 25 mln to form a joint venture to work on mobile game research, development and release. The two companies plan to release a Chinese-language version of Supercell's mobile game "Clash of Clans."
According to a number of Chinese tech sites, Linekong will continue to operate its existing online games, but the vast majority of the company's research and development efforts will be primarily focused on mobile games. Upon the release of a successful mobile game, the company may consider releasing an accompanying series of browser games.
