Jike Debuts Consumer Complaints Platform
Sina Tech, 2/27/13
Jike, the online search platform operated by the People's Daily, today released a consumer complaint platform, bgt.jike.com. Jike intends for the site to serve as a "community welfare" channel for consumers to report and learn about inferior products and services. If multiple users post complaints about a specific product or service, Jike will compile the posts into a single consumer complaint entry to be featured on the site.
The platform was launched in cooperation with the Health Times subsidiary of the People's Daily, China's State Food and Drug Administration, and Chinese internet services and security software provider Qihoo 360 (NYSE: QIHU) So.com search engine.
Jike has established a "Jike Investigation Team" to track popular consumer complains to feature on the site. The team has already opened an official microblogging account.
Jike plans to launch a mobile internet supported and mobile app version of the platform in the coming week. Users can sign into the mobile app through their Sina (Nasdaq: SINA) Weibo microblogging accounts.
