Spring Rain Releases Web Version of Medical Q&A App
Tencent Tech, 2/21/13
Beijing-based mobile application developer Spring Rain Software ("Chunyu Tianxia") has launched a web version of its Spring Rain Palm Doctor ("Chunyu Zhangshang Yisheng") mobile healthcare app recently (http://chunyu.me). The web app offers online Q&A diagnostic services, as well as an "ask a question" search feature allowing users to enter a medical question to receive search results for similar cases, while simultaneously submitting the question to a doctor for a more exact response. If users are dissatisfied with the stored Q&A results, they will have the option to receive an answer from a doctor at a top hospital.
Chunyu.me guarantees an average response time of one hour. The system will automatically deliver questions to doctors' mobile phones, allowing doctors to respond on the go, and allows users to submit "paid questions" to encourage doctor responsiveness. The web client allows users to set their own price for questions at price points ranging from RMB 0 to RMB 25, depending on the urgency of the question.
The mobile client for Spring Rain Palm Doctor has been downloaded 8 mln times to date, and has 300,000 daily active users.
