Ministry of Finance Penalizes Digital China for Falsified Tender

China's Ministry of Finance (MoF) has handed down fines to IT products distributor and IT services and systems integration provider Digital China Holdings (0861.HK). The fines are related to falsified materials submitted by Digital China when applying for a government smart city equipment tender. Chinese computer and electronics manufacturer Inspur Electronic Information Industry (000977.SZ) previously filed with the MoF in regards to the falsified materials.

According to regulations, the MoF has fined Digital China RMB 3,918, a sum equivalent to 0.50% of the winning bid. Furthermore, Digital China's conduct will be put on record, and the company will be banned from participating in government tenders for three years.
