China Unicom Launches Samsung Galaxy Note II

Following its release of Samsung's operator-customized high-end business smartphone, the "Da Qi II," China Unicom (NYSE: CHU; 0762.HK; 600050.SH) has released an operator-customized version of Samsung's Galaxy Note II.
The China Unicom version of the Galaxy Note II features WCDMA/GSM dual-SIM dual-standby capabilities, a 1.6GHz quad-core processor, 32GB of storage, and supports China Unicom's HSDPA network (speeds up to 21Mbps). With a RMB 5,799 prepaid deposit, customers can sign a two-year contract starting at RMB 386 per month or a three-year contract starting at RMB 286 per month to receive the smartphone at no additional cost.
The China Unicom edition of the Galaxy Note II is currently available in China Unicom service halls in major cities nationwide as well as via major retail handset stores and e-commerce handset vendors.
China Telecom (NYSE: CHA; 0728.HK) and China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) previously launched their own operator-customized versions of the Samsung Galaxy Note II.
