Rumor: YY, Chuanke Compete for Online Education Client

Online education platform Xingshuai is reportedly considering leaving the online education platform of YY Inc (Nasdaq: YY), operator of Chinese voice-chat SNS platform YY and online game portal Duowan, to join C2C online education platform operator Chuanke Computing System. YY has offered Xingshuai a RMB 10 mln investment in exchange for becoming a long-term exclusive partner. A spokesperson for Xingshuai confirmed YY has offered incentives to prevent the company's departure, but said the two parties have failed to reach an agreement.
