Taobao Introduces Merchant Support Plan

Sina Tech, 11/27/12

Hangzhou-based C2C & B2C e-commerce site Taobao released its support plan for merchants this afternoon. The plan includes new "Winport" stores which will be made available free of charge to all sellers with ratings of one diamond or less, and made available to sellers with higher ratings at 75% of the former rates. A new "seller relationship cooperative platform," which will go live on December 4, will enable sharing of members, marketing resources, products, and other resources between stores. Taobao also announced a month-long discount for store front-end services (including Winport, store design, image and multimedia production, photography, data storage, and marketing) and back-end services.
