Baidu Cloud Storage Introduces "Quick-Upload" Plugin

IT168, 11/26/12

On November 25, Chinese internet company Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) released a browser plugin, "Ji Su Kong Jian" (unofficial translation: "Speed Freak"), for its cloud storage service. The plugin enables uploading of oversized files (up to 4 GB) and adds upload pausing and resuming, among other features.

Baidu also released version 3.2 of the PC client for its cloud storage service, adding asynchronous backups, batch uploads, and drag-and-drop uploads for files and folders. This week will see updates to the iPhone and iPad clients for the product, with the iPad client to add online video-streaming and photo gallery backup features.
