Juhuasuan User Base Reaches 20 Mln

At a meeting with Juhuasuan businesses today, Juhuasuan GM Zhang Yu announced that the Taobao group buy site now has 20 mln users, with more than 6 mln daily active users and nearly 20,000 merchants, or 70% of sister B2C TMall merchants. A total of 78,000 group buy deals have been offered on the platform, with a merchant ROI of 1:10 and associated transaction rates of more than 6%.
Zhang spoke about the transition Juhuasuan made towards becoming a service-oriented platform this year, including product-selection mechanisms, product category planning, and active solicitation of merchants, and said that the company would continue to refine its price control and quality control systems.
Juhuasuan processed RMB 1.79 bln in transactions during its November 11 "Singles' Day" sale, with 16 mln unique customers. 23 merchants received more than RMB 10 mln worth of orders, and 79 merchants received more than RMB 5 mln in a single day. New user registrations occurred at six times the usual rate, and Juhuasuan sold 3,777 apartments and 717 automobiles in the sale.
