eFuture Shaves Q3 2012 Loss to RMB 2.1 Mln
eFuture, 11/19/12
Beijing-based retail software solutions provider eFuture (Nasdaq: EFUT) has released its financial results for the three months ended September 30, 2012. Q3 2012 total revenue decreased 23.3% YoY to RMB 37.48 mln from RMB 41.86 mln in Q3 2011.
Q2 2012 net loss was RMB 2.1 mln, as compared with a net loss of RMB 2.5 mln in the third quarter 2011.
Software license revenue for the third quarter 2012 decreased 2.0% YoY to RMB 13.3 mln from RMB 13.5 mln in the third quarter 2011. The decrease was primarily attributable to the decline of third-party software license revenue.
Hardware revenue in the third quarter 2012 increased 95% YoY to RMB 5.9 mln from RMB 3.0 mln in the third quarter 2011. The increase was due to the completion of some large contracts from the grocery and logistics industry in the third quarter 2012.
Service fee income for the third quarter 2012 decreased 27% YoY to RMB 18.4 mln from RMB 25.3 mln in the third quarter 2011, which was primarily attributable to decreased customization service fee income in fast moving consumer goods ("FMCG") and grocery industries in the third quarter 2012, as a result of the completion of two large contracts in the same period last year.
eFuture expects total revenue for the fourth quarter 2012 to be in the range of RMB 65 to RMB 70 mln.
