360Buy, Meizu Partner on Handset Sales

Beijing-based B2C e-commerce platform 360Buy signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Zhuhai-based handset manufacturer Meizu Technology in a ceremony at Beijing's North Star Century Center today. 360Buy CMO Lan Ye and Meizu COO Mou Cuitian attended the event.
360Buy held its 6th Annual "360Buy Handset Day" sales event from November 19-30, with dozens of handset vendors participating including Samsung, Lenovo (0992.HK), Huawei, ZTE (0763.HK; 000063.SZ), HTC, Meizu, and Motorola. "360Buy Handset Day" has gradually grown to become one of the website's major annual sales events.
Editor's Note: 360Buy and Meizu announced a RMB 800 mln strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing today, according to which 360Buy will procure and sell the latest generation of Meizu handsets. 360Buy will become the largest e-commerce purchaser of Meizu handsets by volume.
A 360Buy representative said that customers who purchase a Meizu handset online can receive after-sales service at Meizu offline retail outlets, and 360Buy's superior channels and marketing capabilities will drive customers to Meizu retail stores.
360Buy currently holds over 70% of the independent B2C e-commerce handset market, according to SINO Market Research, with its market share continuing to grow.
