Netdragon's 91 Limited Mobile App Downloads Exceed 10 Bln

A source inside Fuzhou-based online game developer and operator NetDragon Websoft's (0777.HK) mobile internet subsidiary, 91 Limited, revealed today that as of October, 91 Limited's 91 Assistant desktop application and mobile app store for the Android platform had served a cumulative total of more than 10 bln downloads. In July 2012, 91 Limited CEO Hu Zemin said that there were a total of 100 mln users of the company's 91 Assistant PC-phone syncing application. At the time, the two platforms had served a total of more than 7 bln downloads.
According to figures provided by 91 Wireless's research center, the company's two application platforms offered a total of 760,000 apps for download as of Q3 2012, and served a combined average of more than 22 mln downloads per day.
Hu Zemin has revealed in previous interviews that 91 Limited's revenues are split roughly 55% to 45%, respectively, between mobile games and advertising, adding that revenues from ads in Android apps had surpassed iOS ad revenues. Hu said that 91 Limited has begun work on plans for an IPO, and will issue 15% of the company in employee incentive stock options.
