China Mobile to Start Nanocell Technology Testing in Q4 2012
CCTime, 10/18/12
At the China Small Cell Symposium 2012 on the morning of October 18, Cao Xi, a wireless systems researcher in the network technology department of the China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) Research Institute, said that the operator will launch its first round of nanocell technology tests in Q4 2012. The testing will center on in-lab and field-testing of prototype nanocell wireless equipment solutions, including basic function, key performance indicators, and key technology feasibility testing, with relatively mature products to be selected for further testing in 2013.
In August 2012, the CMRI officially issued its first nanocell technology whitepaper and signed MOUs with key industry chain partners for joint research into key technologies, joint prototype development, and technology testing.
